Little Puffin Ball Hockey

Our 11 AM Six (6) Under Program will be held on Sunday mornings.

Running from Sunday, September 7, 2025 to and including Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Little Puffin Ball Hockey School is an 8-week [approx. 50 ins per week] program with an emphasis on developing basic ball hockey skills while helping build up your child’s confidence, teach them about teamwork and help them develop self-discipline and social skills.

Little Puffin Ball Hockey School can help a child stick with a sport by focusing on fun and fitness rather than just perfecting skills.

Little Puffin Ball Hockey School encourages sport through fun play such as some of our themed games: Life size version of Hungry Hungry Hippo, Bowling alley pylon knock down and pool noodle tag, just to name a few.

• Encourage children to warm up for at least five minutes before playing.
• Hydration is important, so be sure kids drink lots of water before and during the program.
• Make sure kids wear the gear that's right for the program.

Tying literacy with sport, ending every session with a story time.

Age Criteria

6 & Under* [6U (Ages 4 to 6)] Hockey Buds Ball Hockey Program [8 weeks] is open to children who are six (6 years of age as of Dec. 31 of the current year.

We are aware that sometimes even though children may be younger than the required age group they may be able to participate in such groups at a similar level thus we can accept your child even if they are not quite 4 yrs of age.

*Children younger than six (6) years of age by the start of the program may be accepted into the program or recommended for our 8U Program. 

Develop basic ball hockey skills.

Teaching listening, following instructions, attention and focus.

The use of various motor skills.

Making friends.
